Participant 1

Participant 1 is a working mum to two children. Her goal was to lose a stone and gain confidence lifting weights. She previously did little exercise and had to completely transform her eating habits. She attended all 3 PT sessions every week, but did struggle to fit in additional exercise due to shift work and family life. However, I think you will agree she’s done amazing! She still has a little way to go to bring her BMI into a healthy range, but this was just 7 weeks of training and eating clean. She gave it her all and brought her body fat down by 5.8% into a healthy range, lost just under a stone and a total of 11.75 inches off from her waist, navel and hips. Participant 2

Participant 2 has been on maternity leave with her first child. She has previous experience with weight lifting, has been lightly active over her maternity leave but wanted to lose the weight she gained in pregnancy and increase her strength. She attended all 3 PT sessions every week, attended Mother Fit group classes twice a week and in the later stages of the transformation implemented weighted circuits at home with Mother Fit’s programming. She gave it everything she had and brought her BMI and body fat % into healthy ranges, lost 11.5lbs and a total of 10.25 inches off from her waist, navel and hips, oh and she’s in a pair of jeans she hasn’t worn for years, even pre-baby. Participant 3

Participant 3 is a working mum to two children. She runs regularly and was running up to 10km with the Mother Fit Run Club, so she had a good level of cardiovascular fitness. She didn’t need to lose too much weight, she’s small framed, but wanted a flatter more toned stomach and lacked muscle definition and strength. She attended all 3 PT sessions every week, attended Mother Fit run club/circuit once a week and implemented weighted circuits at home with Mother Fit’s programming. She gave it everything and lost 10.4lbs and a total of 8.25 inches off from her waist, navel and hips. She will not continue with weight lose because she is in a healthy range, but she will continue her strength training and is looking to gain more lean muscle.
